Penthea Sollys is the younger sister of Quentin Sollys, and the daughter of Aethlin Sollys and Maida Sollys. She is two years younger than Quentin, and she was ten years old when Quentin was sent off to the Kingdom of the Mists.
Penthea and Quentin used to share a suite at the High King's court in Toronto before first Quentin then Penthea were sent off into blind fosterage separately. They were told that they can only ever reveal their parentage if their life is in danger, and even then, they should stay silent if the information could put their sibling in danger.[1]
Not even Quentin knows where Penthea is fostered, and the two of them are not supposed to communicate until Penthea's age of majority, when she is allowed to return home. It is said that the two of them used to be close as children, and Penthea was upset and clung to Quentin when he was made to leave their home. When they were children, Quentin and her used to play explorers and pretend that they would find Oberon, get him to unlock the doors to deep Faerie, and then they could be heroes and get all the cookies they wanted.
